I’m Brian, a Cincinnati-based full-stack software engineer with more than 16 years of building the screens people tap, the APIs behind them and the databases underneath.
Most of that time has been in mobile. Today I’m a staff engineer building point-of-sale software in Swift and React Native that runs retail stores across the US and internationally: carts, card payments, barcode scanners, inventory and customer lookup. Before that I shipped a fashion brand’s shopping app on iOS and Android, and built client apps for iPhone.
Behind the apps, I’ve built APIs in Node.js, NestJS and ColdFusion, and I’m a database engineer at heart: the data model is the part of a product that has to be right first.

Staff Software Engineer
An iOS and React Native point-of-sale app for retail stores in the US and abroad, integrating JSON-RPC and REST APIs, barcode scanners and card readers. Also in-store kiosk apps on iPad and Android that message store associates through the point-of-sale system in real time.
